Battle of the Best – International Professional Boxing Showcase
On Sunday, 14 September 2025, the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, Pakistan will host a landmark sporting spectacle — Battle of the Best, an international professional boxing showcase bringing together elite fighters from Algeria, France, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Pakistan.
This premier event, sanctioned by the Pakistan Boxing Council (PBC), will feature 12 professional bouts, creating a historic moment for the growth of professional boxing in Pakistan. With participation from some of the most exciting fighters in the region and beyond, this showcase promises not only thrilling competition but also global recognition for Pakistani boxing talent.
The Main Highlights
Main Event: A high-stakes showdown between Florent Dervis (France) and Mohamed Metwaly (Egypt), pitting European technical precision against North African power.
Co-Main Event: An all-Pakistani clash as Ali Abbas Jeddy takes on Umer Riaz Tareen, showcasing the country’s rising boxing stars in a bout filled with national pride.
International Feature Bout: Turkish powerhouse Erol Ulutekin, known for his knockout power and relentless style, steps into the ring in Islamabad.
