Building Pakistan's Path to World Titles

The Pakistan Boxing Council is the primary regulatory body for professional boxing in Pakistan.

The Council sanctions professional bouts, licenses boxers, promoters, coaches and officials, and partners with BoxRec, the global boxing record-keeping authority, to keep every sanctioned result on the international record.

Abdul Rasheed Baloch

Known as "Black Mamba," Rasheed Baloch represented Pakistan as an Olympic boxer at the 1996 Atlanta Games before turning professional, competing across Japan, Australia and New Zealand. In 2017 he founded the Pakistan Boxing Council to give the country's professional fighters a sanctioned, structured home.

Zaigham Rasheed Baloch

Zaigham Rasheed Baloch succeeded his father, Abdul Rasheed Baloch, as President of the Pakistan Boxing Council in July 2024, continuing the family's involvement in the organization's governance during a period of expanded international activity for the Council.

How We Got Here

2017

Pakistan Boxing Council Founded

Established by Olympian boxer Abdul Rasheed Baloch to provide a structured, sanctioned platform for professional boxing in Pakistan.

2017 – 2024

Building the Framework

The Council establishes its provincial structure across Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Balochistan, and begins sanctioning title fights in partnership with BoxRec.

July 2024

Leadership Transition

Zaigham Rasheed Baloch succeeds his father as President, continuing the Council's governance and international outreach.

2025

International Expansion

PBC sanctions its most internationally diverse calendar yet, featuring fighters from Turkey, France, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Iran, Thailand, Afghanistan, the UK and Morocco.

1 June 2026

Leadership Transition

Kaleem Ahmed Azad becomes President of the Pakistan Boxing Council, continuing its governance and licensing framework nationwide.
