PBC Code of Ethics

Any person involved in professional boxing under the Pakistan Boxing Council should:

Licensing & Eligibility

All boxers, promoters, trainers, seconds, cutmen, matchmakers, managers, and club owners operating under a PBC-sanctioned card must hold a current PBC license. Boxers must be above 18 years of age at the time of licensing.

Medical & Safety Standards

Boxers must submit current medical clearance before competing, including a physician's fitness statement, blood tests (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, blood group), and a brain CT scan. The Council institutes the best available medical standards to protect the safety of boxers and the sport.

Weigh-In & Match Sanctioning

All sanctioned bouts follow PBC's official weigh-in procedure and weight-division classifications. Events must be sanctioned by the Council in advance, with officials assigned by PBC's provincial chapters. A PBC-certified championship bout may only be designated a "PBC Championship," a right owned exclusively by PBC.

Code of Conduct

Licensed individuals are expected to compete and conduct themselves with integrity, fairness, and respect for opponents, officials, and the sport. Boxers shake hands before the contest and at the start of the final round. Decisions of the referee and judges are regarded as final, subject only to valid protest under PBC Rules. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to suspension or license revocation — see our No Tolerance Policy.

Appeals & Mediation

PBC mediates disputes between members, boxers, managers, and promoters wherever possible. Licensing or disciplinary decisions may be appealed in writing to the Council through your provincial representative — see the Contact page.
